Three to Four Weeks Before The Move
1. Pre arrange moving date with I Move 4 U.Com
2. Agree moving plan with i move 4 u including the number of packaging cases you require
3. Apply for a passport and/or visa
4 .Book flight tickets
5. Find out about luggage & hand luggage allowance with your airline company
6. Travel guides, maps, phrasebooks, dictionaries ect purchase as required
7. Find out about international schools
8. Make any travel arrangements necessary for pets
9. If you wish to vote from abroad make arrangements with the electoral office
10. Obtain International Driving Licence if necessary and a copy of your Insurance no-claims certificate
11. Collate and duplicate personal papers, e.g. educational certificates/record birth/marriage certificates, insurance policies, wills, etc
12. Notification is usually necessary should you wish to cancel club memberships
13. Pre-arrange travel to get to the airport
14. Make doctor appointments for relevant innoculations should they be required
15. Arrange travel/medical insurance
16. Notify Doctor and obtain medical history/records, details of medication where and where necessary
17. Eye prescriptions as required from optician
18. Request dental records from dentist if necessary
19. Transfer or set up new bank accounts as required
20. Cancel store cards
21. Notify credit card companies of your move overseas
22. Advise inland revenue you are leaving the country and get advice about tax related issues
23. Cancel ammenity services - council tax, electricity, water, gas, telecoms providers, TV licence ect
24. Redirect mail through the Post Office should this be required
25. Send out notification about change of address
